Bruce Parry
Film maker and explorer
Bruce Parry is a British documentary filmmaker, explorer and former Royal Marines commando, best known for BAFTA-winning BBC series including Tribe, Amazon and Arctic. His work is defined by immersive storytelling — living with indigenous communities to understand their cultures and the pressures they face from globalisation and climate change. His later film Tawai: A Voice from the Forest explores humanity’s relationship with nature, a theme that runs throughout his work. He returned to the Tribe format in 2025, continuing to document indigenous lives around the world.
