Prue Leith

Prue Leith is one of Britain’s leading culinary figures, known as a restaurateur, writer, broadcaster and businesswoman. Born in South Africa in 1940, she built her career in London, founding a successful catering company before opening the Michelin-starred Leiths restaurant in Notting Hill. She also established the influential Leiths School of Food and Wine. A former board director across major UK companies, she has chaired numerous organisations in education and sustainability. A familiar television presence, she stepped down as a judge on Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off in 2026, and is a prolific author of cookbooks and novels.
