Merlin Labron-Johnson
Chef, restaurateur and farmer
Merlin Labron-Johnson is the chef and owner of Osip, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Bruton whose menus are shaped by the seasons and the surrounding Somerset landscape. Having trained in kitchens across Europe, he became one of Britain’s youngest chefs to receive a Michelin star when he opened Portland in London. At Osip, much of the produce comes from the restaurant’s own nearby farms, reflecting his belief that cooking should begin with the soil, the landscape and what nature makes available.
